The rehearsal room
that never closes

AI scene partners that listen to every word, react in real time, and never drop a cue.

You just perform.

You know the work. The hours alone with a script. Reading both parts. Imagining the responses.

Oteria changes that. Paste your script, cast the voices, and rehearse with a partner that’s always ready — one that listens to every word and never misses a cue.

How it works

1

Bring your script

Paste text, drop a PDF, or photograph a printed page. Messy formatting? AI cleanup rewrites it in one click.

2

Cast the voices

Assign AI voices to every character but yours. Warm baritone for the lead. Crisp British for the villain. Fifty voices, every archetype.

3

Perform

Speak your lines aloud. Oteria listens, matches, and cues the next voice instantly. The orb reacts to every word.

Performance mode for self-tapes. Hide-my-lines for memorization. Prose reader for long-form content. And more.

Direct the delivery

DETECTIVE: [softly] I know what you did.
SUSPECT: [laughs nervously] You have no idea.
DETECTIVE: [whispers] Try me.

Audio direction tags shape how the AI delivers each line — whispers, shouts, laughter, pauses. Your scene partner doesn’t just read. It performs.

Built for the craft

Intelligent matching

Forgiving mode for first reads, strict mode for word-perfect memorization. The matcher adapts to contractions, paraphrases, and natural speech.

Performance mode

Minimal UI, dark screen, just the orb. Built for recording audition tapes — no reflections off your face on camera.

Photo to script

Photograph a printed script page. AI extracts the text, cleans the formatting, and you're ready to rehearse in seconds.

AI script cleanup

Paste messy text from any source. One click strips stage directions, fixes formatting, and structures it for rehearsal.

Prose reader

Not a script? Paste any passage, pick a voice, and listen. Textbook chapters, articles, your own writing — read aloud beautifully.

Pause control

Set the beat between lines — tight for rapid-fire, slow for drama. Per-line pause markers let you shape every moment.

Built for every stage of the craft

Whether you’re taping an audition alone or running a full table read with your cast, Oteria adapts to the way you work.

Our story

Born on a film set

Oteria started when Jack, an actor directing a short film, needed to perform opposite an AI therapist — a real speaking character in the scene, not a voiceover. Nothing on the market could pull it off. So he teamed up with his friends at Graybridge Labs and together we built exactly what the film needed. The tool turned out to be something every actor needs.

Frequently asked questions

How does the scene partner know when it's my turn to speak?

Oteria uses your device microphone and a fuzzy speech matcher that listens to what you say and matches it against your lines in the script. When your line is recognized, it cues the next character's voice automatically.

Do I need to memorize my lines perfectly?

No. Forgiving mode recognizes paraphrases, contractions, and natural variations. Strict mode is there for when you want word-perfect memorization — you choose the mode that fits where you are in the rehearsal process.

What if I don't have a good reader for self-tapes?

That's exactly what Oteria replaces. Every AI voice is expressive and responsive — whispers, shouts, laughter, pauses. Your scene partner performs the other roles so you can react naturally, even when you're recording alone.

Can I use Oteria for non-English scripts?

Yes. Our curated library covers English with American, British, and Australian accents. For other languages, connect your own ElevenLabs account to access 30+ languages and hundreds of additional voices, subject to your ElevenLabs plan.

What is bring-your-own-key (BYOK)?

BYOK lets you connect your personal ElevenLabs API key to Oteria. Your voices and credits are used directly, governed by your ElevenLabs plan limits, with no Oteria markup. Voices available in your ElevenLabs library appear in Oteria's casting panel.

Is there a free trial?

Yes. Launch plans include a free trial with no credit card required. Paid plans unlock additional voices, higher usage limits, and priority voice generation.
